Setting your Intentions with the Waning Moon...

Updated: Apr 13, 2019

New Moons provide opportunities for us to go inward, to reflect, and ponder new possibilities amidst the light of the stars in the dark night sky. It's a perfect time to set and plant intentions for development and change. It's the impetus to bring thoughts and new ideas in to tangible form, to initiate projects and foster growth. When the moon starts to become visible in the night sky, this is a fertile time for manifestation.

This April moon, the first of the "new (astrological) year" is a springboard into a new vibration, the start of new beginnings, expanded possibilities, widened vision, and regeneration. It's perhaps a more powerful time to set your "New Years Resolutions" with more ease of fulfilling your goals.

It's is a beautiful time to gather your thoughts for the coming year. To break with the past, to move forward, create revolution in terms of how we want to be free and release what's not serving you from the past with a renewed opportunity to move forward. It's time to burn the fog of disillusionment and confusion - time to shed the safe shell of your cocoon to become a butterfly.

Ask yourself these questions and journal on your thoughts:

  • Where do you want to see your life grow?

  • Do my relationships align with who I am becoming?

  • What am I here to do? Am I living my Dharma/my purpose?

  • What do I need to release what's not in alignment of my path?

  • What changes do I need to make and what boundaries do I need to set to live my best life?
